Accessibility Statement

Japanese System is committed to providing a website and Chrome extension companion experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA wherever practical, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time fix.

• Use semantic HTML and landmark regions so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
• Provide visible focus states on interactive elements for keyboard navigation.
• Maintain sufficient color contrast for text and meaningful UI elements.
• Support keyboard-only navigation for core flows such as sign-in, dashboard, challenges, and account settings.
• Use descriptive labels and alt text for meaningful images and icons.
• Test major pages with browser accessibility tooling as part of development.

Some areas of the site, such as data visualizations (activity heatmaps, charts, and progress graphs), community leaderboards, and third-party embedded content, may not yet be fully accessible to all assistive technologies. We are actively working to improve these areas and welcome specific feedback about any barrier you encounter.

We aim for compatibility with modern screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver) and current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Because Japanese System is built primarily as a Chrome extension companion, the best experience is currently on Chromium-based browsers.
